Beginners of any size can rely on reliable support and tip-proof stability, thanks to an extra-wide deck (32”), a thicker profile (6”) and 5” deep, top-to-bottom centre-stringer construction on both sides of the board. That leaves new paddleboarders free to enjoy mastering their hobby. But the WAVE still has more to after they’ve developed their standup paddleboard skills. Intermediate paddlers will also love this board for its surprising responsiveness.
As one of Aquatone’s longer boards, the WAVE PLUS 11’0” offers more speed, while a curvy rocker up front skims over choppy water, making conditions that would otherwise ruin your day into kind of a blast. A 9” push-in, reinforced nylon fin contributes to this craft’s superior tracking – giving you a sense of control that might leave you feeling like a hotdog surfer. The hardboard feel under your feet will only reinforce that impression. High-pressure air valve technology contained by premium drop-stitch fabric holds it all together for an amazingly rigid ride. You might not realize it isn’t a hard board until you pull it out of the water and discover how lightweight it is.
This All-around board’s also big on safety, comfort, convenience and versatility. You won’t have to worry about slipping thanks to its ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) deck pad, which features a 4 mm thick soft diamond pattern for optimum traction and excellent grip. Your gear’s safe, too – stowed securely in an adjustable bungee cord system at the back of your board (which also creates more room for you to swap sides while paddling). If you enjoy the experience, you can share it. The deck space, capacity and stability of this SUP makes it ideal for taking a friend, family member or water-loving dog along. You can also sit down and turn your SUP into a kayak, with the help of extra D-rings.
